Paul Costelloe’s LFW Show

Paul Costelloe once again opened LFW with a collection that wooed Somerset House. The flirty, girlie models pouted and bounced to Eliza Doolittle, ‘Pack up Your Troubles in your old-kit bag’. The collection was fresh, ultra-short in an elegant way, tight-fitting and extremely feminine and romantic. Big, wispy hair and bright red lip-stick complimented the feminine air of the collection and the nude, pastel palette. Male models wore daring sleeveless expand »tops and the trousers had an expand »unusual twist drawing attention to the crotch area. The collection for men was nautical but nice, consisting of strong navy, fire-engine red and pristine white pieces. My favourite piece of the men’s collection was the fire-engine red knee length shorts. Beautiful materials were used in the women’s collection and the tailoring was exquisite. As the girls came out in beautiful packages wrapped up in bows of every size Eliza Doolittle’s ‘Moneybox’ pumped into the showroom. The upbeat music was a nice touch to ease everyone into LFW SS 2011. The show ended with a nice touch, Paul let his sons do the walking! His son Robert is the poster boy of the Costelloe family but they all did a great job. To give you more insight into the collection have a listen to this interview Paul Costelloe gave ITN and see the highlights of his show.
