We had a great day, yesterday, it was like an artist date (a la The Artist’s Way). We spent it sight-seeing all over London. Kew gardens was spectacular. What an inspiring place!
Today we will be interviewing the world’s most expensive Barber! Johnnie Sapong’s client list includes Jude Law and Johnny Depp.

So we’re planning on spending the next few days visiting all the places that the designers said inspired their A/W 2011 collections like the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) The Museum of Childhood, the Kew Gardens, museums and lots and lots of galleries and the Skyhigh Studio East Dining Fortnum & Mason and Bistrotheque which Giles Deacon loves! Many designers said living in London they take inspiration from everywhere: the people, the places, the atmosphere and the attitude so we’ll be soaking it all up with regular commentary.

So it’s the end of London Fashion Week but it’s not the end for us at icône du jour. We’re going to follow up on some of the personalities we’ve met, the unsung heroes who make these shows what they are and visit some of the people, places and things that the designers have found inspiration from.
So keep watching this space!

Young Irish designer J.W. Anderson opened men’s fashion day this morning with The Fear of Naturalism (Part One) in Somerset House. His collection was inspired by Lost in Translation, Smiths fans and country estates. His boots are wicked. He describes the J.W. Anderson male as being ‘free’!

We’ve a packed day of men’s shows. I most excited about KTZ at 5pm in Somerset House, it’s a collaboration between Koji Maruyama, Sasko Bezovski and Marjan Pejoski. Marjan Pejoski is famous for the Swan dress he made for Björk.

The Horace presentation from 1:30-3:30, James Long at 1:15, Cassette Playa at 3:15 all sound really promising.
Our last show of the day will be Tween tonight at 8pm. We’ll be staying around for that and bringing you live updates and photos of men’s fashion for A/W 2011.

Well done lads….great cover…xxx
“Men wearing high-heels”, that’s the biggest load of horse fanny I ever heard. Designers must be getting so bored with themselves bringing back designs from 60′s, 70′s and 80′s that they have to put men in heels just to mix it up a bit.
Loving all the photos and correspondence guys…you must be having a ball…enjoy the rest of your trip! xxx
Well thanks for the fab cover of LFW. Enjoyed every moment of it. A well earned rest now is deserved after a hectic week. Well done guys…………..
Mr Moran,
That shot at “Front of Tween”, I love…
Good work Sir.
