Peter is best described as a polymath. His interests and talents span the spectrum of subjects from chefing to marketing to technology.
Peter grew up as a diplomat brat, moving more times than he cares to remember. He finally stayed put long enough to earn himself a bachelors degree in Chemistry and Computer Science. from the University of Leeds. Trying to avoid having to work, he went on to get a masters in Data Communications from University College London. Later on, mid career, he went on to do an MBA at Smurfit School of Business in Ireland.
Like his up bringing, Peter’s career has been diverse. He has worked as a freelance photographer professionally, for brands such as Oil of Olay, Toyota and Magnum Ice Cream. He is also a trained chef having worked at numerous restaurants of differing culinary styles and breathed life in to Kitchen Angels, a bespoke catering company. However, the bulk of his professional experience has been in the telecom industry. He specializes in developing and deploying cutting edge services for fixed and wireless operators globally.
He is currently living in Dublin, Ireland but god knows for how long
Peter’s vision for icône du jour is for it to be an accessible fashion website for people who have an interest in fashion and the industry but do not have the time or inclination to be a “fashion slave”. The aim is to educate, inform and entertain our readers, fhrough the lens of Rory and Dee’s unique perspective of the fashion world and street trends.
